Does Free work offline?+
Free uses platform-hosted voice + text models, which require an internet connection. If you want fully offline transcription and refinement on your own machine, that's what Pro's on-device models are for.
What does 'BYOK' actually mean?+
Bring-Your-Own-Key. On Pro, you can plug in API keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, Mistral, Deepgram, AssemblyAI, ElevenLabs, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. InkSpoke routes your requests directly to that provider — we don't markup, batch, or proxy your usage.
Is there a team or enterprise plan?+
Not yet. Today everyone — solo writers, freelancers, large companies — pays the same $8/month Pro. We'll add team admin features as the demand becomes clear.
What happens to my data?+
Your audio is processed for transcription, then discarded. Refined text + history is stored locally in SQLite. Cross-device sync runs in standard mode by default: entry content and dictionary terms are stored on our servers, encrypted in transit and at rest with the keys held there. Switch on Private sync — free, on both plans — and that content is end-to-end encrypted on your device with a recovery key only you hold, so nobody else can decrypt it and we can't recover it if you lose the key. In both modes, workspace names, tags, and entry titles are stored as readable plain metadata. Our privacy policy sets out exactly when we access standard-mode content. Disable history entirely in settings if you prefer.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?+
Yes. Switching to yearly applies the 25% discount and pro-rates any unused monthly time. Switching back to monthly takes effect at the end of your billed year.
Does Pro have a usage limit?+
No per-minute or per-word limit on platform-hosted models. We monitor for abuse, but normal daily usage — even hours of dictation per day — is fine.
What about mobile?+
iOS keyboard ships Q3 2026, Android IME Q4 2026. Both are included free with your existing plan.
Can I self-host the platform?+
The desktop app is what you install. The 'platform' is just the hosted model API for Free users. Pro users with BYOK or on-device models don't depend on it at all.
